Inside the dome housing is a Hi-Resolution Color Camera with an Infrared lens. In low light or night situations a photo sensor switches the camera to B/W. This is further enhanced by the built-in 12-LED IR illuminators which provides illumination from 35 to 50 feet. One of the advantages of a Dome Camera is that the camera itself is not easy visible and the subject being viewed has no idea if the camera is pointing toward him.
